| I have a relatively relaxed week (except it's one of those weeks where you COULD be doing stuff to make next week less hectic but have chosen not to for whatever reason), so I thought I would take this opportunity to post some more photos.

The surreal, empty room after everyone went outside to hunt Easter eggs. Leah and I remained to wait on the latecomers, Tom and Blake...

...and passed the time taking various pictures of ourselves as people are wont to do in situations like these.

Wanting to storm the buffet again but knowing it's a terrible idea.

Tom finally shows up, and upon receiving a plate of food offers one of his trademark creepy faces.

Blake in top form in the traditional role of the "recovering college student."

Ah, youthful innocence on display as the children play outside.

As the adults divide up the candy between them.

An introspective photo of serenity and pensiveness, or did someone just throw Daddy's keys into the lake?

What a pimp.

Like many photos of Blake, this one needs no caption.

Oh, and here is the necessary "cute" photo for everyone, I saw Aunt Shari snapping away at this point so I'm sure she's got some tear-jerking shots of this scene.

Uncle Dave attempts the rescue of the century after someone decides to chunk their basket into the lake.

A couple of thugs try to avoid getting arrested out by the lake.

Gangster mom and gangster son. You created this mess, Aunt Shari!

"Boy, jus' wait 'til I get mah degree!"

Ryan lazily eats things while Mom prepares for dinner, a common pastime in our house.

Me following Ryan around while he eats things is less common, but it happens.

Mom made me take this totally set-up picture of her, can you tell? Only total wackos hold their salt shakers so high.

Appropriately, the last photo on my camera was of Taylor lounging on a couch.
Man, I love my family, my home, etc. It's always good times. I can't wait for finals to be over.

| It's been a dang long while, hasn't it? I'm sorry for my parents and grandparents who just can't wait to see what exciting stuff I'm doing. Suffice to say the last few weeks have not been too exciting, save for some fun trips home and whatnot, and maybe some wacky Austin events here. I'll just get to the pictures because I've got homework to do. I'll probably only do a handful now and split the rest out over the next few days so you all feel like these are old times and I'm doing cool stuff every day.

New carpet!!! It is the bomb, just let me tell you. It makes me feel like I'm in 9th grade, which makes me feel extremely, extremely nostalgic. And those of you that know me know I'm already affected with crippling nostalgia, so you can imagine how I must feel.

Spring Break '09 - Alvin drives us to one of his (and my) favorite destinations - Chinatown!!!

I can't hide my boyish grin.

Afterwards, at Alvin's house watching his little brother and his little brother's friends play the new Resident Evil. It felt like middle school or something, it was truly awesome.

Alvin is stoked too.

The bridge behind my house. I went for a little walk...

Not too exciting, I know. But it was a nice day!

This was just this past weekend. I can't tell you how many photos I have of Taylor seated on some kind of soft surface, staring into some little electronic device.

Two thugs emerge out of Leah's room, ready to impose their unwanted presence on the dignified, respectable adults downstairs.

Owen, putting something in his mouth.

Haha, since all of Aunt Shari's photos of her kids are so cute and flattering, it seems I have no choice but to counter-balance them with photos of my own!

As you can see, it's much easier to take unflattering photos of me than my cousins.

Cousinly love, or looking down at some little kid whose lunch money they just stole. Blake doesn't bring his "country club hat" unless he means business.

The adults, cheerfully telling tales of their silly children (for this is what adults do most often) and a little gambling going on in the bottom right corner?

Aunt Shari "rocking out" with Scott looking away in embarrassment.

Me demonstrating my "monkey arm" photography technique that I perfected in Europe.

This made it in because of Tom's truly creepy face back there. Even for him, it's pretty creepy.

The M&M thief appears at last.

An actual happy family. I love you guys.

Now, this was a treat. If you were there, I don't need to say anymore, just check out this next photo:

Ballin'

We are getting geared up for the Easter egg hunt!!

Some serious trash-talking took place before the hunt, let me tell you.

The men silently contemplating how they will get the gold and silver eggs before the other grown men in the room. There were Target gift cards involved!!!
Alright, I will end here for now. I will possibly be back tomorrow with more photos, if not tomorrow, definitely Tuesday. Have a great Sunday! Really, try, because Sundays are usually super depressing for me.

| Yes, Spring Break is almost over, but it really feels like a teaser for the summer...most of which I will probably be spending in online classes or running between Austin and Houston. Somehow, I must graduate. I don't really have that many pictures as I didn't do a lot of picture-worthy stuff during this break (truth be told, I did hardly anything at all), but I will post the ones I did take tomorrow or Monday afternoon. I hope everyone else's Spring Breaks have gone well. I'm not looking forward to the home stretch of this semester, obviously, but oh well. You gotta do it.
More to come when I have something to say...

| There's carpet in my room now. I don't have any photos of it but for some reason it made the house feel new, which made me feel like I was in 9th grade again. Good times. Or not? Either way, they feel like good times. It smells good in there, too. Man, you know who wants to go back home right now? Me.
Anyway, like I said, I have no photos. It kind of sucks. I grabbed my camera at the last minute being like, "You better take a lot of photos this weekend, for sure." Of course I didn't take a single one. Kind of annoying, but whatever, there's still Spring Break. I've never done anything for Spring Break in college proper. What I mean is, I've never like, gone skiing or gone to New York or Mexico or on a silly road trip or anything. I've always just gone home and hung out. It's all I ever want to do by the time Spring Break rolls around. It's all I want to do now. Luckily the next week and a half or so won't be as busy for me as nearly all of my friends so I can take it relatively easy. Hope everyone's doing well,

| I hope everyone is doing well. Not a whole lot is going on, except for school and whatnot. My brother's birthday is today (Happy birthday, Ryan!) and my birthday was a week ago. Here are a few pictures from the last week or so:

Here is one of the few meals we've made this semester. This all came from the same cooking blog, the cheese biscuits that were awesome, the simple corn casserole stuff was also pretty good and kind of reminiscent of the stuff at Rudy's. The fried chicken was my least favorite part, but that's not to say it was bad or anything.

There it is. It doesn't look super appetizing there but it wasn't bad.

I have too many photos of other people chilling in my bed with guns.

Alvin waits for the creepy stalker in the hall...

There he is! Get him, get him!!!

The master tacticians plan their strategy to bring down Paul.

Now the action moves to another bed, as is the common practice around here.

Alvin waits for his delicate hair to dry.

A rare look inside one of my classes at UT. This is Arabic class...it's unfortunate that there also happen to be menacing keffiyeh-wearing men holding guns.

Friday night, at an art exhibition in which one of Felipe's project was being displayed!

There it is! I don't want to try and explain it here because I won't do it proper justice. If he ever gets his website up I will link to it here.

On Valentine's Day I headed to San Antonio to see my family. They look as stoked as ever to see me, don't they?

And wow, Michael and Julie showed up, baller!

Back home to find Paul sans pants sitting on our couch.

Felipe photographs Paul from an unfortunate angle.

Felipe caught photographing Paul from an unfortunate angle.

Any angle at which I am photographed is an unpleasant one.

Aw, how cute! After snapping this photo I found out that Helen was actually just asleep and Alvin didn't want her to fall on the ground.

Finally, you get to see our other roommate, Howard! He's quite the pimp. It was his birthday on February 14th, so Alvin got us both a cake...

It was awesome.
Anyway, that is all I have to report now. I'm still trying to get some ideas as to what I'm going to do after school. I kind of want to teach somewhere overseas, but who knows.
